About Chelsey Tschosik, MSW, LICSW, MHP

I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, and moved to the United States in 2012 to continue my education. I now live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where I have built both my home and my practice.

For more than 10 years, I have supported children, teens, adults, and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. My background includes work in nonprofit organizations and community mental health. These experiences have shown me that healing does not happen in isolation and that every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood.

I believe many of the struggles we face today are connected to the experiences we had growing up, the relationships we have been part of, and the messages we have received about ourselves. When someone has experienced trauma, neglect, criticism, family conflict, or painful relationships, they often learn ways to cope that once helped them survive. Over time, those same patterns can leave people feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure of themselves.

In therapy, we will work together to better understand those patterns without shame or judgment. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, build on your strengths, and create lasting change.

My approach is trauma informed, attachment based, and tailored to your unique needs. I use a variety of evidence based therapies, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, somatic tools, and mindfulness. I specialize in helping clients heal from childhood trauma, relationship trauma, religious trauma, family of origin issues, anxiety, high conflict relationships, low self worth, and major life transitions.

I do not believe therapy should be one size fits all. Together, we will create a treatment plan that feels supportive, manageable, and aligned with your goals. Depending on your needs, we may focus on processing painful experiences through EMDR, building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening boundaries, exploring relationship patterns, or helping you feel more connected to yourself and your body.

Clients often describe me as warm, down to earth, and genuine. I bring compassion, honesty, and curiosity into the therapy room, while also creating space for real conversations and meaningful growth. I believe the relationship we build together is an important part of the healing process, and I deeply value the trust my clients place in me.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, gardening, cooking, and reading a good book. Nature and time with loved ones help me stay grounded and connected.

I believe healing is possible for everyone. Therapy is not about forgetting the past. It is about learning how to carry it differently, with more self compassion, confidence, and intention. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or unsure where to begin, you do not have to navigate it alone.

Whether you are looking for support with trauma, anxiety, family relationships, parenting stress, life transitions, or feeling more like yourself again, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
